Summer camps are not just for youth! We have a camp designed for young adults and families who want to learn about bowhunting.
This three-day program is designed to give you some experiences that you may never have had before, or believed that you could do. Raised At Full Draw is designed for participants who have never shot a bow before or never been hunting. You will build confidence by learning how to properly shoot a bow and arrow, hike to a destination at night, learn how to set up a ground blind so you can go out hunting with your family or by yourself.
The Anamosa Bowhunters 3D archery range takes you up hills, down valleys and will give you great experience to practice different shots.
The goal of the camp is to pass on our knowledge and techniques to you, and allow you an opportunity to learn in a safe hands on environment. An environment where you get to practice immediately the skills you are being taught. In addition, there will be a focus on how to hunt responsibly, effectively and learn all of the other attributes of ethics morals and values they come along with spending time outdoors. We want the you to exit camp as skilled archers, but more importantly we want you to leave with an appreciation for hunting and the outdoors as a whole.
Each of our RAFD camps are unique to the location where they are being taught. This Family Iowa camp is hosted in a different location that the other Iowa camps as we partnered with Anamosa Bowhunters.
Our camp will follow the curriculum of the National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) book which is titled “Todays Bowhunter”. The daily schedule will consist of stations for each chapter in the book and nightly activities that will directly relate to the lessons that were taught earlier in the day. Participants that need or want a bowhunter education certificate, will have the opportunity to leave camp with a (NBEF) certification that is recognized internationally. The state agency requires participants to be 12 and older in order to receive their certification.
As you can see, this program is designed for participants both adults and youth who have no or limited bowhunting experience. If want to be learn more about archery and bowhunting, you are looking for this Raised At Full Draw Family / Young Adult camp!mosa, IA | CANCELLED 2020
